Tech Instructions — Terms of Use
Last updated: July 15, 2026 · Operated by Culture Media LLC, 1 West St, Unit #2052, Danbury, CT 06810, USA
These terms are written in plain English on purpose, but they are a real agreement. By using Tech Instructions — the website, the wizard, or any printed sheet it produces — you (and, if you are helping someone else, the person you help) agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Tech Instructions.
1. What Tech Instructions is — and is not
Tech Instructions produces printable, step-by-step instructions for everyday technology tasks. It is general educational guidance only. It is not financial advice, medical advice, legal advice, security advice, or professional advice of any kind, and it is not a substitute for the official instructions, support lines, or professionals connected with any product, bank, clinic, or service. For decisions about money or health, rely on your bank, your clinic, or a qualified professional — not on a sheet.
2. Accuracy — what "checked" means
Some sheets carry a note like "Button names on this sheet were checked in July 2026." That note means we compared the sheet against the named company's public instructions around that date, on a best-efforts basis. It is not a guarantee. Apps, websites, and menus change without notice, companies vary their screens by region and account type, and a sheet can be out of date the day after it is printed. If a sheet and a screen disagree, trust the screen, stop if unsure, and ask a person you trust.
3. Scams and fraud — no guarantee
Tech Instructions teaches cautious habits, and its sheets deliberately never declare any particular message, call, or website "safe." Following Tech Instructions cannot guarantee that you will not be deceived or defrauded. Criminals adapt constantly. If you suspect fraud, contact your bank and the authorities (reportfraud.ftc.gov) immediately — do not wait for a sheet.
4. Using the sheets — your license
Tech Instructions and its sheets are protected by copyright. You may print and use sheets for personal, household use — including printing them for a family member, friend, or the person you care for. You may not sell the sheets, distribute them at scale, or use them in a business, clinic, facility, or organization without a separate written license from Culture Media LLC. (If you'd like an organizational license, write to the address above.)
5. Tech Instructions Plus
Plus guides are unlocked with a one-time code purchased from our authorized store. A code is a 12-month license for one household's device, is non-transferable, and may be redeemed once. "Re-checked monthly" and similar statements describe our best-efforts verification practice (see section 2), not a warranty. Refunds follow the store's posted refund policy; if none is posted, you may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase if you have not redeemed your code. Prices may change; a purchased code keeps the terms it was bought under.
6. Who can agree to these terms
You must be an adult able to enter a contract to purchase Plus or accept these terms. If you are a helper printing sheets for someone else, you accept these terms on your own behalf and agree to share the substance of sections 1–3 with the person you help. Tech Instructions makes no claim of suitability for any particular person or condition; the reader uses each sheet at their own pace and own risk.
7. Other companies' names
Sheets refer to real products and services — for example Chase, MyChart, Netflix, Amazon, Gmail, ParkMobile, and many others — solely to describe how to use them. All such names and marks are the property of their owners. Tech Instructions is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or approved by any of them.
8. Privacy
Tech Instructions collects nothing. Your wizard answers never leave your device. The details — and the technical measures that enforce them — are in our Privacy Policy.
9. No warranty
Tech Instructions is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including, without limitation, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. No advice or information obtained from Tech Instructions, in any form, creates any warranty not expressly stated in these terms. Some states do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
10. Limit on our liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Culture Media LLC and everyone who works on Tech Instructions will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost money, lost data, missed appointments or results, unauthorized account access, or fraud losses, arising from or related to Tech Instructions or any sheet — even if advised of the possibility. Our total liability for all claims combined will not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty U.S. dollars ($50), whichever is greater. Some states do not allow certain liability limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
11. Your responsibility to us
If your misuse of Tech Instructions — for example, redistributing sheets commercially without a license, or altering sheets and passing them off as ours — causes a third party to bring a claim against Culture Media LLC, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of defending that claim.
12. Disagreements
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before any formal proceeding, write to us at the address above — most problems are fixable with a letter. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be settled by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, in Connecticut or by video, except that either party may instead bring an individual claim in small-claims court. Both parties waive jury trials and class actions to the extent permitted by law.
13. Changes
We may update these terms; the "Last updated" date will change and material changes will be noted on the site. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
